The school is a purpose-built gated and secure facility, situated in the beautiful western part of the island of New Providence, the gated community of Lyford Cay. Within seven acres, there are 28 classrooms, a library/media center, music and an art studio, a computer lab and a science laboratory.Each classroom is equipped with multi-media computers and full on-line service to the Internet. Every student in grades 4-12 is provided access to an Apple laptop with wireless capabilities. Additionally, nearly every classroom has a Promethean interactive whiteboard providing students and teachers access to this innovative, digital tool. Sports facilities include a six lane 25m swimming pool, a large, recently renovated sports field accommodating football/soccer pitches, and a basketball court. LCIS additionally leases another 10 acres, which accommodate additional football/soccer pitches, a softball diamond, and a running track. The school’s own sailboats and kayaks are kept on floating dock in the nearby marina, and there are several playground areas for the younger students. Recent developments to the campus include, two new Early Learning Centre classrooms; new Secondary School tuck shop; creation of additional paved parking area; re-surfacing of the basketball court; Secondary School patio improvements; new staff lounge; and maintenance storage facility. Future campus improvement plans included within a $6.5m Campus Refurbishment Project are provision of additional classrooms, further renovation of parking lots, new multi-purpose/dining facility, and major renovation of existing buildings. The project is purely classroom driven.
